Cine 21 is a Korean film magazine published by Hangyeore newspaper. The magazine was first published in Seoul on April 24, 1995, and it was published in the form of weekly magazine. Its first editor-in-chief is Seon-hee Cho, a reporter from Culture Station. The articles published in the first issue include "Who controls the Korean film industry" and "Voting the Top 50 Korean films". Cine21 is currently one of the most famous movie magazines in Korea.
Korean film magazine "CINE 21" has selected the best film works of that year every year since 1998. The list before 2010 was all five works, followed by ten works, among which there were also works tied for fifth or tenth. It can be seen that Hong Shangxiu, Jin Jide, Li Cangdong, Bong Joon ho, Hong-jin Na and other established Korean directors will almost enter the best list of the year as long as they have new works. In 2019, Lv Zhang’s directors whose works have been shown in China for many times also have many works on the list.
As for actors, Song Kanghao, Cui Minzhi, Huang Zhengmin, Ha Jung Woo and Jin Minxi, including the actor Yoo Ah In, who was popular in Li Cangdong’s Burning, are among them. South Korea’s unique art/commercial film market has a wider choice of actors, including veteran actors with unique experience and new actors who are amazed when they appear.
Unfortunately, from previous lists, Korean female directors such as Claudia Kim, Hyung-sook Hong, Lee Kyoung-mi and Quan Gaoyun are still in the minority.

Recently, "CINE 21" selected the top ten in Han Ying in 2019. Bong Joon ho’s Palme d ‘Or "Parasite" won the championship without controversy, and the documentary "Jin Jun" directed by Jiang Shangyu focusing on Korean historical events won the fourth place. This year, the number of films made by female directors has increased compared with previous years.
