Tongji University jointly hosted the 10th International Bridge and Tunnel Technology Conference and the "Belt and Road" High-end Forum on Transportation Infrastructure.
ninemoon13Solstice14The 10th International Bridge and Tunnel Technology Conference and the "Belt and Road" high-end transportation infrastructure were hosted by China Academy of Engineering, jointly sponsored by China Railway Society, China Highway Society, China Construction Machinery Industry Association and Shanghai Civil Engineering Society, and jointly hosted by the Civil Engineering, Water Conservancy and Construction Engineering Department of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Engineering Management Department of China Academy of Engineering, Tongji University, Southwest Jiaotong University, shijiazhuang tiedao university, Shenzhen University and Chang ‘an University.
More than 30 academicians at home and abroad and more than 80 experts and scholars attended the conference through online and offline methods, and made reports around the theme of the conference. At the same time, the conference launched the "Tenth Anniversary Exhibition of Major Bridge and Tunnel Projects and the Exhibition of Technological Innovation", which focused on the major achievements and emerging technological innovations in the construction of transportation infrastructure such as bridges and tunnels and the development of the "Belt and Road" in China in the past decade. More than 300 enterprises and institutions, international organizations, universities and research institutes, industry associations, association leaders and experts attended the conference, with nearly 100,000 online participants.
The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by the president of the conference, Academician Du Yanliang of China Academy of Engineering. Gao Zhanjun, Director of the Third Bureau of China Academy of Engineering; Nie Jianguo, Director of the Department of Civil Water Conservancy and Architectural Engineering of China Academy of Engineering and Professor of Tsinghua University; Lu Chunfang, Chairman of the General Assembly, Director of the Engineering Management Department of China Academy of Engineering and Chairman of the China Railway Society; Fang Shouen, Party Secretary of Tongji University; Ma Xingfa, Party Secretary and Vice Chairman of Shanghai Association for Science and Technology; Liu Qianwei, Chief Engineer of Shanghai Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Management Committee; and Yu Ning, Chairman of Shanghai Civil Engineering Society, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches respectively.
On behalf of the school, Fang Shouen expressed warm congratulations on the convening of the conference and heartfelt thanks to the leaders, academicians and experts for their long-term care and support to Tongji University and the discipline of bridge and tunnel engineering. He said that Tongji University has achieved fruitful results in discipline construction and scientific research in the field of bridges and tunnels, and has built the world’s largest multifunctional vibration experimental center, the first domestic ground vehicle wind tunnel center, the first domestic urban rail transit comprehensive experimental platform and other major scientific research platforms. It has undertaken a series of major national special projects and major engineering scientific research projects, and achieved landmark scientific research achievements such as key technologies of long-span bridges and structural earthquake-resistant and disaster-prevention technologies. At the same time, the school gives full play to the spillover effect of superior disciplines, basic research and applied basic research, constantly expands the forms and fields of social services, and actively serves the national and local social and economic development, providing strong human, intellectual and scientific support for the construction of the "Belt and Road", the construction of domestic bridges and tunnels, and the construction of railways and urban rail transit.
There are two main forums in this conference. Academician Qian Qihu, winner of "August 1st Medal", shared the approach of urban construction under the goal of "double carbon". Academician Zheng Junlian and Academician Deng Wenzhong respectively introduced the super-long-span arch bridge and its key innovation, and the aesthetic design of Chongqing Liangjiang Bridge. Academician Sun Jun, who is 96 years old, shared some hot issues in the development of tunnel engineering technology at home and abroad in recent years. Academician Niu Xinqiang discussed the key technologies of national water network and large diversion tunnel project. Academician Nie Jianguo introduced the enlightenment and innovation of engineering practice. Aiming at the basic problems of structural safety, life and durability, Academician Ou Jinping introduced the intelligent monitoring and simulation prediction of the whole life performance of bridge structures. Foreign academicians such as Herbert Mang, Luc Taerwe, Günther Meschke and Naeem Hussain also shared the latest research progress.
The International Bridge and Tunnel Technology Conference has always focused on major bridge and tunnel projects, and continuously promoted system innovation and scientific and technological progress. The conference set up seven major theme forums. In the forum of major bridge and tunnel construction, Academician Deng Mingjiang introduced the efficient tunneling and technological innovation of super-long tunnel cluster TBM. Academician Lin Ming shared the innovative practice of the island tunnel project of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. In the "Belt and Road" transportation infrastructure construction forum, Academician Du Yanliang shared the development strategy and thinking of "Belt and Road" transportation infrastructure construction. In the forum on operation and maintenance of road and bridge engineering construction, Academician Zheng Jianlong focused on the key scientific issues of service performance of long-life road materials and structures, and Academician Gao Zongyu shared the new progress of high-speed rail bridges in China in recent years. In the operation and maintenance forum of tunnel (tunnel) and underground engineering construction, Academician Zhu Hehua shared the digital twin model of tunnel surrounding rock and the dynamic design method of support. In the Forum on Major Engineering Equipment, New Materials and New Technologies, Academician Yang Huayong and Academician Zhu Hehua respectively introduced some explorations on key technologies of intelligent shield and new progress in high-performance concrete for bridges and tunnels. The report focuses on major projects such as Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, sichuan-tibet railway, Shenzhong Passage, Ningbo Zhoushan Port Main Passage, Badaling Great Wall Underground Station, Tianshan Shengli Tunnel, Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway tsinghua campus Tunnel, Qiongzhou Strait Railway Tunnel, Harrogand Bridge in Norway, China-Laos Railway, China-Nepal Cross-border Railway, Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge, Wenzhou Oujiang Beikou Bridge and the construction of the "Belt and Road" transportation infrastructure, from strategic research, planning and design, construction and operation and maintenance. At the closing ceremony,Du Yanliang, chairman of the conference and academician of China Academy of Engineering, summarized the great significance of this conference in promoting the innovative development and technological progress of bridge and tunnel engineering. Academician Lv Xilin presided over the main forum and closing ceremony of the conference on 14th. In addition, experts also shared the construction of bridges and tunnels in Shanghai.
The organizer said that this conference is a combination of domestic and foreign countries, conference report and achievement display, and major engineering achievements and enterprise innovation achievements. It is rich in content and diverse in forms, which is of great significance for rallying industry strength, enhancing cooperation and exchanges, promoting engineering science and technology innovation, and helping high-quality economic and social development.
